AUGO magnetic screen door review
An editor's review of the AUGO fiberglass magnetic screen: 38 × 83 in mesh for a 36 × 82 in door, full-length magnets, hook-and-loop, and keep-open snaps. Specs only, no invented test scores.
Updated 2026-10-31. Editorial opinion from listing specs, not a lab test.
AUGO sells magnetic screen doors. That is not a rumor and not a placeholder. On October 31, 2026 we opened Amazon ASIN B0BSNGMCXD: the AUGO Heavy Duty Fiberglass Magnetic Screen Door, a 38 × 83 in mesh that the listing says fits a 36 × 82 in door. The page was sold by AUGO. The material field said fiberglass. The bullets said the magnets run the full length of the seam, the hook-and-loop runs the full frame, push pins are included, and snaps hold the screen open. Listed weight was about 1.4 pounds. The model number was FIBERGLASS-SD-83.
This is our editor's pick for a standard house door of that size. The rest of the review is what that sentence does and does not mean. It means the published spec is the one we would shop from. It does not mean we ran a wind tunnel, counted mosquitoes, or pulled the magnets with a gauge.
What the listing says about the brand
AUGO's brand story on its Amazon storefront describes a family business that started in New York. We are not auditors. We did not verify a headquarters, a factory, or a warranty beyond what the product page itself offered, which included Amazon's usual return window and a link out for warranty details. The useful brand fact for a buyer is simpler: the fiberglass screen was sold by AUGO, not by an anonymous third party using the name in a title.
The seam is the product
A magnetic screen is a mesh with a job, and the job is to shut. AUGO's fiberglass bullets contrast their magnets with "typical screen doors with spaced-out magnets." They say theirs run the full length, for a tighter seal, and that the attachment is full-frame as well. We like that pairing. A strong seam on a screen that is only stuck down at the corners still ends up on the porch. A full frame of tape with a gappy seam still lets in wasps. The listing claims both.
What the listing does not claim is a magnet count. Flux Phenom fiberglass screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) does: 52 on the U.S. page, with a conflicting 26 on an Australian page for the same ASIN. If a number is how you shop, read AUGO vs Flux Phenom and then read the live Flux Phenom bullet. We still prefer AUGO's full-length description for the doors it fits, because gaps between magnet packs are the failure we are trying to avoid, and a count is not a map of those gaps.
Fiberglass, on purpose
The pick is the fiberglass mesh, not "an AUGO screen" in the abstract. The listing calls it reinforced fiberglass, stronger than standard polyester, aimed at kids, pets, and busy doorways. That is the manufacturer's comparison. Polyester AUGO screens exist and are the right buy when the fit line says so. They are not the same SKU. AUGO 38 × 83 mesh screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) is an older 38 × 83 page for the same 36 × 82 door class, and the bullets we checked never say fiberglass. If you want the fiber in the title, use B0BSNGMCXD.
Pet use has a ceiling. The screen is light enough for a dog to push, which the listing advertises, and it is not a framed pet door. Claws can still find the tape. Loose magnets are a swallowing hazard for pets and children. The Amazon warning on the page is specific and worth reading out loud if a toddler lives in the house. More of that judgment is in the pet guide.
What is in the hardware kit
- Hook-and-loop strips the listing describes as full frame, Velcro-like. This is the no-drill path, with the usual risk that adhesive lifts paint.
- Push pins for wood trim when you want a mechanical backup. Skip them on metal, vinyl, and rentals that forbid holes.
- Keep-open snaps, which AUGO calls patent pending. They hold the halves back. They are the right tool instead of a knot in the mesh.
Install order and the mistakes that make a good screen look bad are in how to install a magnetic screen door. If the top corner peels, the next page is how to keep it from falling, not a different brand by reflex.
The other AUGO sizes we verified
The fiberglass page's size menu also showed 34 × 81, 38 × 97, and 74 × 81 when we looked, plus style chips for a French door and a side opening. Clicking a chip can change the ASIN. Quote the fit line after you click, not the memory of the parent page. Separately, these ASINs stood on their own:
- AUGO polyester 38 × 81 screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) — polyester, 38 × 81 mesh, fits 36 × 80, full-length magnets, hook-and-loop, pins, snaps. ASIN B0D87GN5R1.
- AUGO 34 × 81 screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) — polyester, 34 × 81 mesh, fits 32 × 80, same closure story. Model MESH-SD-81. ASIN B0BSNFSVTT. This is the AUGO screen that can make sense on a larger RV door. It is still too wide for many campers.
- AUGO 74 × 81 screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) — polyester, title 74 × 81. ASIN B0C7CD53QL. Confirm mesh versus doorway on the live page before you use it on a slider.
- AUGO 38 × 83 mesh screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) — 38 × 83 mesh, fits 36 × 82, fiber not named in the bullets we saved. ASIN B074TWKVQB. Prefer the fiberglass ASIN if the fiber is why you are here.
When we would not buy AUGO
- The opening is about 30 inches wide, which is common on campers. Read RV screens and look at EJYTRVT RV screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) or Falafa RV screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab).
- The door is 36 × 96 and AUGO's 38 × 97 chip is missing. MAGZO 36 × 96 screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) has a published fit, a full strip, and a weighted hem.
- You need a tracked, latching screen that looks built-in. That is a retractable, and we do not fake an ASIN for one.
- You need a lock. None of these curtains lock.
How to buy it without guessing
- Measure the clear opening at three widths and two heights. Keep the smallest. The method is here.
- Open the AUGO listing that states that fit. Do not shop from the photo of a doorway that is not yours.
- Select the mesh you came for. Fiberglass is the pick for pets and heavy use. Polyester is the correct AUGO when that is the fit you measured.
- Check the seller is AUGO if the page offers a choice.
- Ignore the price in your memory. It will not be the price we refused to print, because we did not print one.
The comparisons, if you want the other brands at the same level of detail: Flux Phenom, MAGZO, Homitt, and IKSTAR.

Does AUGO sell a magnetic screen door?
Yes. We opened ASIN B0BSNGMCXD on Amazon on October 31, 2026. It is the AUGO heavy-duty fiberglass magnetic screen, 38 by 83 inches, for a 36 by 82 inch door, sold by AUGO on that page.
Did SnapScreen test the AUGO screen in a lab?
No. This review uses the listing's published size, mesh, closure description, and included hardware. We do not print a star rating, a price, or a quote from a customer.
Which AUGO size should I order?
Match the fit line. 36 by 82: the fiberglass 38 by 83. 36 by 80: the polyester 38 by 81. 32 by 80: the polyester 34 by 81. Wide openings: the 74 by 81 listing, after you confirm the fit sentence.
Is the French Door style a separate product?
The fiberglass listing showed a French Door style chip when we opened it. Choose that chip on Amazon and read the fit line it reveals. We did not assign it a second ASIN.
