Best magnetic screen doors for RVs and campers

Most camper doors are narrower than a house screen. Use AUGO only when the opening is about 32 × 80. Otherwise use a listing that states an RV fit.

Updated 2026-10-31. Editorial opinion from listing specs, not a lab test.

RV doors are a different object from the front door of a house. They are narrower, the frame is often aluminum, and a push pin is a puncture you will regret at highway speed. The honest recommendation is to measure the opening and refuse any screen, including our favorite house screen, that does not name a matching fit.

Measure the hole you walk through

Width is the clear opening, not the outside of the metal frame. Height is from the threshold to the underside of the top of the opening. Write both down. Then read the listing's frame line, because RV pages like to quote the frame and the opening as different pairs of numbers.

When AUGO is the right RV screen

If your opening is about 32 inches wide and 80 inches tall, AUGO 34 × 81 screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) is the editor's pick. It is polyester, the mesh is listed at 34 × 81, the fit is listed at 32 × 80, and the bullets describe full-length magnets, hook-and-loop, push pins, and keep-open snaps. Skip the pins. The snaps are useful when you are loading the camper and want the doorway clear.

AUGO fiberglass screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) is a 36 × 82 fit. That is a wide RV door. If you have one, the fiberglass mesh is the better pet choice and it is still our house pick. If you do not, do not buy it "because the site likes AUGO." A too-wide screen on a camper becomes a wad of mesh and a seam that cannot close.

When the door is smaller than AUGO

EJYTRVT RV screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) says it fits a 33 × 80 opening and frames up to 30 × 79, excluding the frame. The listing claims fiberglass and a peel-and-stick hook-and-loop install with no tools. It does not publish a magnet count. The brand is new on Amazon relative to AUGO. Buy it for the size sentence, and re-read that sentence at checkout.

Falafa RV screen (Amazon, opens in a new tab) is the shorter curtain: 33 × 75 in the title, frames up to 30 × 73, 23 magnets, a weighted hem, and roll-up buckles. A specification row labeled it 33 inches high by 75 inches wide, which would be a nonsense RV door. We are treating that row as a labeling error until you see a photo with a tape measure in it. If your frame is not within 30 × 73, skip it.

Take it down for travel

A magnetic curtain is not a road screen. Roll it, bag it, and close the real RV door before you move. Falafa describes roll-up buckles. AUGO's snaps hold the halves open while you are parked. Neither is a claim that the screen stays put at 65 miles an hour. Adhesive on a hot aluminum frame can also slide. Check the corners after the first sunny afternoon at the site.

Questions people actually ask

Will an AUGO house screen fit my RV?

Only if the opening matches a published AUGO fit. The narrow polyester listing is 34 by 81 inches of mesh for a 32 by 80 door. Many RV entry doors are closer to 30 inches wide or less. Those need a camper listing, not a folded house screen.

Can I use the push pins?

Do not pin an RV skin, aluminum frame, or thin screen door. Use the hook-and-loop only, on a clean surface, and accept that adhesive can leave residue.

Which RV listing has a clearer size?

EJYTRVT states a 33 by 80 fit and frames up to 30 by 79, excluding the frame. Falafa states 33 by 75 and frames up to 30 by 73, but one specification line looked like height and width were swapped. Measure, then match the frame sentence.
